Introducing Character Poses
September 23, 2024Today, we’re excited to introduce Character Poses, a new feature of Morphic Studio designed to give you greater control over character generation, poses, and animation.
Character Poses automatically detect the kinematics of a character and apply a 2D rig, allowing you to adjust or create new poses effortlessly. Character Poses is designed to help you create multiple keyframes with a character by adjusting the kinematics of your character. This seamless control of Character Poses within your images enables you to work fluidly and creatively.
You can begin with a single frame and easily generate multiple keyframes. Adjust the pose in each keyframe with precision using the Character Poses feature, and then use Morphic’s interpolation feature to create smooth transitions between frames, resulting in a dynamic and fluid animation clip.
Character Poses in Action
Here is a quick walkthrough of implementing character poses in your workflow:
- Upload your Image
Begin by uploading an image of your character and select the Pose Edit option on the prompt bar.
- Character Pose Detection
The system will automatically detect and display the pose of the primary character.
- Modify the Pose
Use the kinematics interface to adjust the character’s pose. You can tweak limb positions, alter body positions, mention pose changes in the prompt bar, and experiment with different stances to see what works best for your scene.
- Regenerate the Image
Once you’re satisfied with the pose, regenerate the image. The system will apply the modifications while ensuring that the character model remains consistent.
- Interpolate and Animate
With your newly generated keyframe, you can now interpolate and animate using both images.
This is just the beginning of how Morphic is making character animation easier, faster, and more intuitive than ever before. With Character Poses now live, we're excited to see how animators and creators bring their characters and stories to life. Try it out Character Poses now on Morphic Studio.
